Bre & Jon’s Virginia Countryside Wedding at Grace Estate Winery

Bre & Jon

The wedding of Bre & Jon at Grace Estate Winery in Crozet, Va.

Bre & Jon’s Love Story:
Bre and Jon met through mutual friends in 2014 and hit it off at the spring Foxfield races in 2015. Bre lived in Richmond at the time going to VCU and they dated long distance for about a year and then she moved back home. While they were dating Bre and Jon did a lot of traveling visiting family, friends, and going to the beach. They also worked on remodeling Jon’s grandmother’s house that he had purchased before they started dating.

Their Wedding Inspiration:
“We love the outdoors, mountains and a great view. Those were things we wanted to be in our pictures and for our guests to experience with us. We chose Grace Estate because you could see our property from the Estate and that was something that was special and important to us. Living so close to Grace Estate Winery and visiting there frequently prior to our engagement we knew that was probably the place we wanted to get married, but didn’t go up to the Estate until we were engaged. The design for the wedding was just what felt right. We wanted to use these beautiful old blue mason jars that were Jon’s late grandmothers that was basically where we started and just added to that. I didn’t want anything to take away from the view, which is impossible, unless it’s foggy and you can’t see anything.”

The Couple’s Favorite Moments:
“Being surrounded by our family and close friends and getting to experience it all with Jon was amazing. My most memorable moment would be looking around at all our guests and the actual wedding and just seeing how beautiful everything was and all the smiles made the planning process all worth it. Oh I we really loved the speeches too.”

What’s next now that you are married?
“Now that we are married we are going to finish remodeling our home and I (Bre) am going to start a new career post graduation from VCU. So now after the wedding and honeymoon are over we are relaxing and experiencing all that life has to offer. Things have slowed down now and we couldn’t be happier.”

Now that you are married, what words of advice do you have for couples getting married?
“Do what you want to do. It’s the only day you get that is about to two of you and you shouldn’t stress about others visions for your day. Do you 🙂 Also, advice a friend gave me was to take a moment with your husband to just look around and take it all in.”

Testimonial from the couple:
“Our experience with Ron Dressel Photography was very comfortable. We don’t take a lot of pictures so being in front of the camera was really uncomfortable for us, but Ron made us feel comfortable. He did my sisters wedding previously so we already knew him and now he feels like a part of the family. Being able to tell your photographer exactly how you feel is a great thing!”
