There will be about 5 hours of actual hands-on shooting with studio lighting equipment. 4-5 lighting stations will be setup so everyone will have an opportunity to shoot and learn. Models will be present to pose for the students. The only equipment you will need to bring is a camera, lens, and a memory card. All other lighting, support, and remote triggering gear will be provided by Will King Photography and Ron Dressel Photography.

Allison Page - Hello Ron,
I am looking to start a small studio out of my home and need HELP on setting up and purchasing studio lighting. I am looking for a fast forward class so that I can be up and running as soon as possible. My question for you is ..Do you think your Seminar in Charlottesville would offer this “fast forward” learning for myself….Or is there another direction that you know of that I should use.
Thank You,
Allison Page
Ron - This workshop will help you become familiar with how different lighting mods work and the effect they have on the set. We will also discuss the fundamentals of lighting, so if you are looking to set up a home studio this class should certainly be beneficial. You will have the opportunity to work with the lighting provided and use it in your own way and experiment. Will and I both have small home studio setups that we use.
