A few days ago I had the pleasure of taking Lindsey & Gary’s engagement photos at Pollak Vineyards, near Charlottesville, VA. Gary and Lindsay and are getting married in Key West, Florida on May 5th. They choose Pollak Vineyards as the location for their engagement photos and it was an excellent choice! There were so many opportunities for great photos there, especially outside where autumn leaves were nearing peak color.
We started out inside the tasting room where Lindsay and Gary enjoyed a glass of wine and shared a few moments together. Afterwards we went outside for the rest of the session.

Just as we went outside it started to rain…just our luck! We however did not let a little rain stop us or dampen the mood. Lindsay, being prepared, had Gary run to the car to get an umbrella. Gary of course happily obliged and returned with a Penn State University umbrella. This was no surprise to me since I know they are both HUGE Penn State fans (I was just happy it was not a Steelers umbrella! )

We set off to the vineyard to take a few photos and after a few minutes the rain stopped.

After a quick wardrobe change and glass of wine we ventured off down a hill toward a quaint pond where there is a small dock to take some more photos.
I love how Gary & Lindsay wanted to incorporate their dog C.J. into their session! They had fun playing with C.J. and he enjoyed being able to roam the grounds and check out all the new sights and locations.
I love this photo of them. cold wet dog nose kisses are the best! lol
Pollak offers so many great views and we just had to stop and take a few more up on a bluff overlooking the mountains!
We finished the session back in the vineyard for a few more shots of them in the beautiful scenery. The mountains speckled with oranges, yellows, reds along with the gold color of the grape vines combined with the happy couple the made for some amazing photos!
